Distinctively Christian
Midland Christian School is, first and foremost, a Christ-centered, Biblical, Christian school. The purpose of Midland Christian School is to help parents teach their children to love and honor God in all aspects of their lives. All subjects are taught from a Biblical, Christ-centered, Christian worldview perspective which provides parents with an alternative to giving their children the secular, Man-centered, humanistic worldview education offered by the public schools.
God is Sovereign; He created all things, sustains all things, governs all things and is the source of all truth. Teaching all subjects within this Biblical framework means the rigors and precision of mathematics are an expression of the marvelous order that God created in the universe; that history is the unfolding of God’s plan and providence for humanity starting with the creation of Adam, Jesus Christ coming into the world at the right time, and continuing until Christ returns; that science is the study of nature that God created and how He designed it to operate, versus the belief that nature made itself by random events. Students learn that all aspects of life are to be understood from this Biblical perspective.
Studies clearly show the devastating impact that a naturalistic, secular humanistic education can have on children’s spiritual welfare and growth in Christ. At MCS, Christian parents can rest assured that the daily education of their children is consistent with the Christian convictions that they are trying to teach their children at home and in church.
Christ-centered education at MCS provides excellent academic preparation for students to serve the Lord throughout their lives in whatever vocation He calls them. During our fifty years of operation, academic achievement tests have shown that MCS students have consistently done as well as, or better than, students in the Midland public schools.
Understanding that the fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, Midland Christian School provides a distinctively Christian education.
