Classical Christian education is unique in that it seeks to faithfully restore the most proven form of education ever developed. This education produced the greatest thinkers, leaders, and scientists in the Western world from the time of the Greeks until the late 19th century, including America's founding fathers.
Classical Christian education does not just offer a slight adjustment to the curriculum; it is a much more fundamental and inclusive change.
Midland Christian School teaches differently because we have a different perspective and loftier goals for our students. Each child is created in God’s image and is a reflection of God. With this view in mind, each child must be taught personally and in relationship to God and man. Classical Christian education is based on an understanding of God, man and nature that differs in many ways from the modern understanding. At MCS we recognize that education’s ultimate purpose is to know and glorify God.
All subjects are taught as part of an integrated whole with scripture at the center as students are encouraged to become “thinking Christians” and to develop a solid biblical world view. A mastery of the tools of learning from a Christian worldview will best equip students to engage our culture as fruitful ambassadors for Christ.
