Tuition Reduction Incentive Program
MCS SCRIP Pays For Your Tuition!
TRIP/SCRIP is an opportunity to raise money towards your child’s tuition. The beauty of SCRIP is that you put your regular household shopping dollars to work and earn money for MCS without spending a single additional penny. Just spend your regular shopping dollars with SCRIP stores and 50% of the earnings go towards reducing your tuition obligation.
SCRIP can be used for just about any household purchase including food, clothing, entertainment, gasoline and even dining out. Many popular retailers participate in our SCRIP program including Meijer, JCPenney, The Gap, Shell, Pizza Hut, Red Lobster and many, many others. Everyday purchases generate earnings for your own tuition.
Participation in TRIP. is open to parents, grandparents, friends, donors, future families, and anyone in the community who wishes to participate. All participants have the option to choose any family as the recipient of the tuition credits or designate all the earnings to the general fund.
Participation is important! We need as many participants as possible in order for this to be successful. It requires very little effort and benefits YOU!
Here is how it works:
Do you spend $100 per week on groceries?
Do you spend $150 per month at department stores?
Do you spend $90 per week on gasoline?
Do you spend $50 per month dining out?
In one month you spend:
| Food $100/week x 4 = | $400/month |
| Dept Store | $150/month |
| Gas $90/week x 4 = | $360/month |
| Dining out | $50/month |
| Total | $960/month |
For 12 months that equals $11520 of normal spending.
The average percentage earned from each SCRIP purchase is approximately 5%. So the average family, using these spending levels, would earn $288 each year toward tuition and $288 per year toward the school operating fund. A family that works at the program by focusing their spending on SCRIP participating retailers can earn much more! Click here to get started.
