FOR YOUR INFORMATION

    • I am Special!  Thanks for sending in a few family pictures to help celebrate your child’s individuality and specialness!  If your pictures are still at home, there is still time to send them in and hang them up!

    • Fire Station Field Trip!  It’s finally here!  We will be heading to the Haley St. fire department next Friday, November 21.  We will depart at 9:15 and return around 10:45.  Please return the attached permission slip by next Wednesday, November 19.

    • Santa Parade!  Please plan to join us on Saturday, November 22 in the annual Midland Santa Parade!  This year we are VERY excited that Midland Christian will have a float and all of our students are invited to walk in the parade.  Check the Growing Edge for more info on how you can be involved!!

    • Thanksgiving Break will begin Wednesday, November 26 and school will resume the following Monday.

    • Adopt-A-Family!  We are just about halfway to our goal!!  As soon as I get the names and wishes of our adopted family, you will have a chance to help shop if you so choose.  More info should be available after Dec. 1.

    • Save the Date!  Tuesday, Dec. 9 is our Christmas Musical/love gift offering.  Children are asked to wear Sunday/Christmas best as they will be on stage in the gym with the rest of the elementary students (but in the front row!!).  Also, Friday, Dec. 19 we will be taking a field trip to the Sanford Senior Center to Christmas carol, so save the holiday wear for that special trip too!

  • Thank you for sending in gloves and hats for our chilly morning recess!  Also, since we are heading into winter, you might want to check your child’s change of clothes at school to be sure they are the appropriate size and “season!”  Thanks!

  • Calling all rakes!  We would love to spend a few days this week raking leaves on the playground and then jumping in them!  If you have a rake that you wouldn’t mind lending us at school, we would really appreciate it!  J  Fall is fun!!!

  • Adopt-a-Family!  We have all been so richly blessed that the preschool class has decided to share the wealth with those who don’t have as much.  Our thermometer remains near zero and we have until Dec 10 to fill it all the way to $250!  This will provide a family of three with gifts and a meal.  Please consider how much you might be able to help, whether a lot or a little, it all adds up!
